This is a plan and resources for a beginner’s Spanish lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning the vocabulary to describe different pets in Spanish. The plan would work well coming after a lesson on the names of pets.
The plan gives details of a whole class starter, an introduction to the vocabulary, a whole class listening activity, a speaking and listening activity, a written worksheet and a plenary. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills.
